1 Corinthians chapter 7

Today we are reading 1 Corinthians chapter 7, and today is Wednesday which means we have a youth group meeting at 6:30 tonight. Hope we'll see everyone tonight!

My favorite verses in this chapter were 23 - 24
"(23)You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men. (24) So brothers, in whatever   condition each was called there let him remain with God."

This chapter was cool becasue in verse 23 it says, "you were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men." This verse means that you should not be a slave of men (in other words, do not follow the ways of the world). Verse 24 says, so brothers, in whatever condition each was called there let him remain with God. This verse means that since we are not suposed to follow the ways of the world, we are suposed to follow God instead.

I also liked verses 23 and 24. I also liked verse 22 though.

Verse 22:
And remember, if you were a slave when the Lord called you, you are now free in the Lord. And if you were free when the Lord called you, you are now a slave of Christ.(NLT)

I like this verse because it kinda talks about how with God we can be set free from our troubles. This verse also talks about how we have to work to further God's kingdom.

Verses 23-24:
God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world. (24)Each of you, dear brothers and sisters, should remain as you were when God first called you. (NLT)

I really like how you put this Brian! :)

I like verse 23 because it tells us that we should not give our life away when God has paid a high price for our lives. I also like verse 31 because it says that our earthly possessions will go away when the earth is destroyed in the end. So we should not become attached to those items, because they will bring us away from God.
