John 10

John 10 is our reading today. It's about Jesus being our shepherd. It's hard for me to focus on this stuff right now because of the election. Obama is our president again and Romans 13:1 (ESV) LEt every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. I don't know what God's doing with our country right now, but Romans 8:28 (NIV) But we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Keep up the great work on the Bible Reading Plan, and in case you haven't noticed people can respond to posts so you should check back either a few hours or a day later to see what someone said about what you said.
God bless you all! Have great days!

John 10:27-28, "My sheep hear my voice and i know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never parish and no one will snatch them lut of my hand." This verse reminds me that God is my shepherd and He knows me. No matter where i am i'm in God's hand He will never let go of me even if i stray away He is always there and will find me. I don't have to be afraid because He will never leave me. " Even when i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 " and behold i am with you always to the end of age." Matthew 20:28 " What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that has gone astray? And if he finds it truly i say to you he rejoices over it more then over the ninety- nine that never went astray." Matthew 18:12-13 ~ abby<3

Testing

Sorry about the last comment. I was testing to make sure it would post because I was having some problems yesterday.

Today when I was reading verse 9 really stuck out to me. It says: Yes I am the true gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. To me this verse means that once we find Jesus we are saved and we are free to be with Jesus in Heaven.

It's so amazing how when we become part of Gods flock we will never be cast out. No matter what we do. Noone can snatch us away from our LORD. You'd think God would let us wander off if we are doing bad stuff. But instead he comes and finds us Gif is sooo good.

This morning I woke up overwhelmed to find out Obama won a second term. I felt that it is our job to pray for him to open his heart to have strength, courage, faith, and to run America the way God wants him to. Our country isn't know as a strong country anymore and as the years progress I see that America is turning away from God. John 10:14-15 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Its so amazing to know God has chosen me to be one of his sheep, who he will never leave, and always love. I can't imagine the pain he had to suffer to lay his life down for you and I. I am very thankful that America can worship, pray, and read the bible without being persecuted like in other foreign country's. We need to pray that it will stay this way in our country we live in. I feel like God wants us to read Daniel in our next bible study if you guys don't want to I understand.
