We are on day 9 today which means we're reading John 9. You guys are doing awesome reading through John. Put God first and read it even if you have lots of work.

Mathew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

If you put God first and spend just a few minutes with Him even when you could of studied for a science test or something, then He will give you everything you need. Also it is good to take breaks in between studying. God won't give you more than you can handle. The amount He gives you just might not be handleable (10) without Him.

Secondly, If you are like me and sometimes you read the Bible and 5 minutes later you can't remember what you read, or you want to learn more from your reading and get closer to God, then you should check out this website. I'm doing the S. O. A. P. thing today.

Scripture: John 9:2-4 And his disciples asked Him," Rabbi who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?"
Jesus answered,"IT was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must wowrk the works of him who sent Me while it it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.
John 9:16 Some of the Pharisees said, " This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath." But others said, " How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?" And there was a division among them.

Observation: In the first two verses I liked how God looked at someone who everyone thought was a sinner being punished, and saw His heart. HE said the man was blind so God might be Glorified. Then He healed him.
In the third verse, It said we must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. I heard that there are different times in your life. The times when God is doing something big with you and the times when He is preparing you. Just because nothing huge is happening in my life right now I still need to persevere (9) to stay close to God.
Verse 16, showed me that even the biggest skeptics of Jesus, the Pharisees, started to believe He was the Messiah, but because of peer pressure they didn't stand up for Him. Don't let Peer pressure stop you from doing whats right.
Application: I am going to read an Old Testament chapter of the Bible today and do a SOAP on it. I will make sure I stand up for God no matter what my friends are doing.
Prayer: I'm going to go pray now :D

This is abby!! John 9:3, Jesus answered," it was not that this man sinned or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in Him." Sometimes God lets bad things happen in order for His glroy to be shown. For example the whole southbrook thing, i was really upset and found that everytime i prayed i always asked God why this was happening to me. Eventually i strted trusting God through the circumstance and now i see that through all this He has shown His power and love by blessing me with friends that will last a lifetime and a better relationship with Him. God has promised us that He has a plan for us and that no matter what He will be with us. " For we know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 " For i know the plans i have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and i will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13

Hey it's Emma this is the message version :D some verses that really spoke to me were 1-5.
Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, " Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?" Jesus said," You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. There's no such thing as cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do. We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over. For as long as I am in the world, there's plenty of light. I am the worlds Light."
I love this because blaming people is a very easy thing to do. When bad thing happen I look for someone to blame and instead I should be looking for what God can do in the situation. That's a hard thing for me to do because it'shuman nature to want to blame someone or something for the problems your having.
I hope this worked :)

It worked! Thanks for sharing that Emma. Blaming people is a thing lots of people struggle with. I'm gonna work on not blaming people and trusting in God.

Heyyyy this is Maria
John 9:5 "while I am in the world, I am the light of the world." These we're the words Jesus spoke to his disciples when he healed the blind man. This verse really spoke to me because we are Jesus's disciples and we need to be the light of the world while we are still on the earth. We need to reach out to people who don't know and love God. I know that impact church will reach out to so many people and we can be Gods hands and feet! I know God has a plan for this church and it will build into a wonderful place to learn more about God and fellowship with people who will lift you up and help you,not only on Sundays but everyday! I love having this time with God and being able to tell other people what spoke to me as we read these chapters in John. This is a really great bible study to prepare us for the world to speak to people and teach them about our savior. Also it will help us to put on the belt of truth, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit!!!
