Romans 14

Romans 14 is another really great chapter that talks a lot about accepting others.

It starts out by talking about how we should accepted everyone and leave the judging to God. Then it starts talking about how we must live and die for God because that is what Jesus did for us. It says: Christ died and rose again for this very purpose- to be Lord of the living and of the dead. (Romans 14:9 NLT).

Then in Romans 14 it talks about how we should not judge other believers (or any one for that matter) because we are just as bad and maybe even worse then them. Then it says in verse 13: So let's stop condemning each other. Decide to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. (Romans 14:13 NLT). I really liked this verse because this is how we should live! We should not be judging others its not right we have no superiority over any one! Also we should be lifting each other up as Christians, not tearing others down.

(NIV)

10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”[b]

12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

This verse is realy important. It is saying, treat people with respect.

You don't judge people because sometimes you could be wrong and The Lord Will always be right.

I think that's right don't judge me. Haha!

In verse 3 and 4, people must not judge others based on the way they want others to be. They must avoid judging others because God will judge them the way they judged others in the end. Verse 10 is talking about why are you judging others, do you want to be judged poorly like you have judged them? Verse 13 and 14 talks about no more judgements and helping others stand up when they are down.

I like the versses 3 and too. It's very important that we do not judge others, because it is a sin, and because God will judge you the same way at judgemet day.

Verses I liked:

4Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

10Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11for it is written,
"As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God."
12So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

16So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil.

21It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

23But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.
